Famous as the ‘Mother of all Fests’, CYANIDE (an annual event organized by Panjab University's University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, (UICET)) is all set to roll out on the 1st of March 2011, in Chandigarh.
Cyanide aims at providing the students with an atmosphere of creativity and group participation. Each year marathons, blood donation camps, workshops, cultural events, games and quizzes and lots of other interesting activities are conducted during Cyanide to make sure that the participating students and the audience both are fully entertained as well as wisely informed.
Nagpur International Marathon 2011 is going to be held on 30th January 2011. The theme and the slogan of this Marathon is "I run for Peace and Non-violence". According to sources, about 58 foreign athletes, including 24 women have already confirmed to run for this event and it is also, believed that The Nagpur marathon carries a total prize money of about Rs 39 lakhs and races would be held in 10 different categories including full marathon (42.195 kms) for men, half marathon (21.097 kms) for women along with men open (12 kms) and women open (10 kms). Athletes from Kenya, Ethopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ruwanda, Ukraine, Russia and Mangolia will be participating in the men's section, while women's category is supposed to witness runners from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethopia and Ukraine.
The Jaipur Marathon 2011 is starting on 23rd January 2011 and is going to provide an enormous platform to showcase Indian culture among all over the world. Like every year, this year too, the Jaipur Marathan will present the cultural and ethnic diversity of Rajasthan. Hundreds of performers are expected to accompany colorfully decorated floats, and dance along the streets of Jaipu , celebrating the multicultural diversity of Rajasthan.
